Dimapur, Jan. 31 (EMN): In what will help its residents reach their homes safe, Suren colony of Wokha has taken up a project, to construct two CC roads (cement concrete roads) of a few kilometre stretch in its jurisdiction without the help of the government.

An update from Team Metamorphosi president M James Tungoe informed that one of the roads is in the heart of the colony and the other via Ganga post (Assam Rifles Camp).

The approach road connecting Anganwadi Centre at the heart of the colony via New colony.

It stated that the project started with a meagre amount collected through free-will donation from the residents of the colony. Some residents helped through free labour while others donated land to make the long-cherished goal of the people come true.

‘In spite of the meagre fund collected, the project if comes true, will surely make a crucial contribution to economic development and growth; that will bring important social benefits,’ read the press release.
