Supongmeren mourns demise of NPCC leader’s mother
DIMAPUR — Lok Sabha MP from Nagaland, S Supongmeren Jamir, has expressed sadness at the passing of Tiamenla, mother of Moa Imchen, general secretary of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC). In a condolence message, Jamir said that she was a loving mother till the very end, and her exemplary life of devotion and sacrifices will continue to bless her family and loved ones for generations to come. He conveyed, on behalf of the NPCC, condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the soul of the departed rest in eternal peace.
ATMA Noklak establishes farmer support groups
DIMAPUR — To promote sustainable agriculture and enhance food security, the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Noklak, Panso Block, established two farmer support groups (FSGs) on Monday at Ekhao village. These groups, named Mienyu Group and Ohkam Group, each comprise 10 female members. Anungba, block technology manager (BTM), the resource person, encouraged the groups and emphasised that empowering women in agriculture can significantly raise income levels and create economic opportunities for both women and their families.
CNTC, CNSA hold meetings with GPRN/NSCN
DIMAPUR — The Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) and the Central Nagaland Students’ Association held meetings with the GPRN/NSCN led by Gen. (Retd.) MB Neokpao Konyak, President, and Alezo Venuh, Ato Kilonser, on June 15 and 17. In an update, the GPRN/NSCN expressed gratitude for their recommendations, “which have been duly considered,” and thanked them for their declaration to work together with the GPRN/NSCN to advance the interests of all Nagas until the natural conclusion of the parley with the Government of India.
