Dimapur, Sep. 25 (EMN): As part of ongoing activities of the nutrition scheme Rashtriya Poshan Maah for 2019, a ‘local food show’ was organised by the department of Social Welfare in collaboration with the Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) in Dimapur. The food show was conducted on September 25 at the supermarket in Dimapur, updates stated.
The organisers issued a press release on Wednesday informing about the event.
The deputy commissioner of Dimapur Kevekha Zehol inaugurated the event. Self help groups set up eleven stalls ‘for promotion of good nutrition,’ the press release stated. Prizes were also given to the self help groups “based on their display of local vegetables, fruits, snacks and local cooked food,” the press release stated.
