Dimapur, June 28 (EMN): The All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK) has raised concern over the robbery attempt that took place at Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu (KPA) on the night of June 23 and felt the need to deploy security guards to ensure that such incident doesn’t happen again.

The SKK convened a consultative meeting with the ADC of Atoizu, principal of Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu and leaders from the neighbouring villages of Asukhuto in the institute’s conference hall on Friday. The meeting was called in connection with the attempted robbery by unidentified miscreants that resulted in damage of properties, informed an update from SKK.

The House appealed to the concerned authorities to deploy security personnel permanently in the institute. It condemned the act and urged the law enforcing agencies to arrest the culprits. It also assured its fullest co-operation.

During the meeting, the principal of KPA was asked to assess the performance of the staff. However, the principal said that the staff of the institution was performing their duties well and that action would be taken if they fail in discharging their work as per government service rules.

The House also appealed to the state government to compensate the land donor at the earliest to enable the concerned authorities to expedite upgrade process.
