Dimapur, Nov. 4 (EMN): The Western Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (WSBAK) will be organising a three-day event, the ‘Sumi Healing Festival,’ with American pastor and evangelist Ed Citronelli of the World Healing International Ministries, from November 15 to the 17th at the Agri Expo at 4th mile in Dimapur.
This was informed during a press conference that was conducted on November 4 at the Agri Expo in Dimapur.
Speaking to media persons, the executive secretary of the WSBAK, Rev. Hevukhu Achumi, who is also the convenor of the programme committee, explained the goals of the healing festival. The programme is to ‘do away with the killing, the hatred and the wrongdoings of the Sumi people in general and to ask for forgiveness and blessing from the lord.’
Achumi said the healing festival is a divine plan. He expressed hope for spiritual awakening and uplift of every individual through the event.
He expressed belief that the event will greatly touch the heart and soul of believers with evangelist Ed Citronelli speaking at the programme.
'Ed Citronelli, who has been working as an international evangelist for past 30 years in healing and saving souls, will be gracing our healing festival and it will be a fruitful and delivering hour for every believers,' Achumi said.
Achumi also said that the healing programme will be open to every individual irrespective of denomination or association. Every individual who wants to attend the programme will be warmly welcomed as this is a programme for every Sumi with no condition for denomination, he said.
Emphasising strongly on the need for peace in the Sumi region, Achumi said it is high time ‘we give up our bad mentality we have for our own brothers and sisters, and start living with each other in peace and harmony.’
Further, he appealed to every believer to pray for the success of the programme so that everything will be done according to God's will.
The co-convenor of programme committee, Y Kikheto Sema, said arrangements are being made to accommodate more than 12, 000 people at the festival.
Also, Sema highlighted that food stalls will be available during the programme. They will be providing special Sumi food for the congregation.
