Sukhalu suggests skill development training at quarantine centres

Dimapur, June 5 (EMN): Advisor to School Education, K T Sukhalu, during the review meeting in Zunheboto, suggested that some skill development training be given to the people undergoing quarantine to keep them engage as well as learn something.

The advisor held a meeting with Zunheboto district task force, district administration, police, and medical department over the preparedness strategy on June 4 at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall, informed a DIPR upadte.

The legislator was apprised on the status of quarantine centres and the district as a whole. He thanked Kaito Aye, minister for Agriculture and Cooperation and Khehovi Yepthomi, advisor to Tourism and Art and Culture, for taking care of the arrangements in the district.

On the government’s decision to bring back the returnees from their respective locations, he said that the government took a conscious decision, as many were facing hardships.

To contain the Covid-19 pandemic, he said it is the responsibility of every individual, as government cannot do it alone without people’s support.

Stating that administrative officers and frontline workers are working round the clock, he called upon all to support frontline workers.

He also asked the members present to sensitise the people about the real issues so that responsibilities are shared.

The advisor further asked that the police force to be extra vigilant in the quarantine centres so as to prevent any case of runaway from the centre.
