Sudha Das Academic Excellence Award offers INR 50,000 to the top Gorkha girl HSLC student in Kohima district.

DIMAPUR — The family members of Late BK Das and Late Gangamani Rai Das have announced the institution of the “Sudha Das Academic Excellence Award” for a girl student from the Gorkha community who secures the highest percentage of marks in the HSLC Examination 2026 from Kohima district.
According to an announcement from Gorkha Students' Union Kohima (GSUK), the award will consist of a plaque and a cash prize of INR 50,000 and will be presented to the top-performing Gorkha/Nepali girl student in the HSLC Examination 2026 conducted by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE).
The award is applicable only to students studying in schools that fall under the jurisdiction of Kohima district. Irrespective of the residential status of the student, she should have appeared for the HSLC examination from a school located within Kohima district.

The student should belong to the Gorkha community and is not required to be a non-Naga indigenous Gorkha. After scrutiny of the mark sheets, the girl student with the highest overall percentage, calculated from all six subjects, will be selected for the award.
Girl students who have secured 80 per cent and above in the aggregate of all six subjects have been requested to submit a copy of their mark sheet along with their contact number to meghrajlama@gmail.com or WhatsApp number 9612001207.
