Subroto Cup: Manipur defeat Nagaland in semifinals

Kohima, Sept. 13 (EMN): Manipur upset Nagaland 2-0 in the semifinal match of the ongoing U-14 Subroto Cup played at New Delhi on Tuesday morning. 

Greenwood School Dimapur fell short of goals as Heirok Higher Secondary School Imphal, Manipur scored two goals in the semifinal match. 

A Devo scored in the 24 minute and L Bikramjit scored the second goal in the 45th minute for the Manipur team.

Nagaland had to contend as the losing semi finalists of the tournament, while Manipur progressed to the final. In the other semifinal match, Jharkhand beat Chandigarh 3-1 to enter the final. Now Manipur will play against Jharkhand in the final match on September 15.

The team from Nagaland was led by Kechi as the team coach and Kevilebei as the manager.
