EM: For those who may not have come across your designs, how best would you describe yourself as a designer
– I describe myself as a patient and glamorous personality who struggles to handle each and every failure and my personality is present in every stroke of my designs which signifies struggle and glamour.
EM: Do you have specific research process when you start a new collection?
-Yes, I do lots of research to create new collection or outfit and study the personality of my clients to deliver satisfactory effort. Satisfaction of my clients is more important than my own contentment so my research focus mainly on client satisfaction.
EM: Was there anyone in your family who made you feel like designing?
-No, but my love for fashion and penchant for designs led me to the fashion world.
EM: How would you describe your design aesthetic?
-Simple, clean yet elegant represents my design aesthetic.
EM: Naga’s are known to be fashionable across India so according to you do the Naga’s have great sense of fashion?
-Yes, Nagas are fashionable but most are fashion follower and not setter. Fashion needs to distinct types and events and not season follower.
EM: Where do you go for inspiration?
-Most of my inspiration comes from nature, imagination and dream.
EM: Do you feel there’s significant interest for young designers at the moment?
-At present fashion has become a booming sector in the state for young and old. But most of the designers fail on their profession without maintaining time management, further research adding to this requirement of garment factory or production house in the state contributes to lack of opportunities for aspiring designers.
EM: What is your motto?
-I have no motto but I love the quote “Busy man is the happiest man” which I think should be practiced by everyone.
