Dimapur, June 9 (EMN): The principal of Patkai Christian College, Husazu Epao urged the students to be persistent to succeed in life and utilised their time wisely.
Addressing the HSLC and HSSLC successful candidates, on June 9 at Chakhesang Hoho building, Epao said to achieve success one has to be realistic in their approach towards life and sacrifice for continued successes. ‘Every individual writes their own story, be it a successful one or a sorry one,’ he remarked.
The felicitation programme was organised by the Western Chakhesang Hoho. A press release received here on Saturday informed about the event.
The principal who was the guest speaker, stressed on the need for students to avoid abusing electronic gadgets, which, he observed, was effecting study hours.
The principal reminded the students that ‘there is no magic potion for success except hard work.’ He also asked the students to choose their subject of study and educational institutions wisely.
He also appreciated the WCH for taking positive initiative to encourage students’ community stating, ‘today’s initiative will decide our tomorrow’.
WCH president, Dietho Rhakho in his address reminded the students not to forget their roots while pursuing education. He also congratulated all successful students and encouraged them to work harder to bring more laurels to the Chakhesang community in the days to come.
Altogether, 223 students cleared their HSLC and HSSLC exams.
The hoho awarded certificates and gifts 223 successful candidates. Two toppers and one subject topper were also honoured with cash award.
Rev. Dr. Nuvocho Dzudo, chairman, Western Chakhesang Baptist Church Council, pronounced a special prayer for the students.
