Dimapur, March 5 (EMN): M.Ed student teachers of Nagaland University (NU) and State Council for Technical Education (SCTE) have appealed to the university to conduct M.Ed 3rd semester examination online.

In an appeal letter addressed to the Controller of Examination Nagaland University, M.Ed 3rd semester students (2019-2021) said the sudden decision of the university to conduct the exam offline “seems unjustifiable” as the entire teaching-learning process was conducted online.

“The drastic reversal of scenario to switch from online learning to offline examination has created apprehension among the student-teachers, and is rather deemed unrealistic at the hour due to the fluctuations in network connectivity during online sessions which have very much affected the teaching-learning process,” read the press release.

Maintaining that they are not mentally and physically prepared to write the examination offline, they said “same yardstick should be applied to all, irrespective of the semesters since all the student-teachers of each semester attended equivalent mode of learning, i.e. online mode”.
