Students undertake cleanliness drive under ‘Laudato Si’ project
Little Flower Higher Secondary School (LFHSS) in Kohima undertook a cleanliness drive at Sokhriezie Park, BOC under the ‘Laudato Si’ project
DIMAPUR — The class 12 students of Little Flower Higher Secondary School (LFHHS) in Kohima undertook a cleanliness drive at Sokhriezie Park, BOC, on May 27 under the ‘Laudato Si’ project.
An update from the school stated that students and teachers under the guidance of its principal, Sr. Lucy Gangmei, enthusiastically participated in the project.
It stated that Kenei Sekhose, convenor of the park management, interacted with the students and highlighted briefly about the park. It added that the students have contributed potted plants to the park during the cleanliness drive.
It mentioned that ‘Laudato Si’ (praise be to you) is the second encyclical of Pope Francis. The main purpose of the drive was to practice some goals of it. It focuses on care for the nature environment and all the people as well as broader question of the relationship between God, humans and the earth.

Report further stated that the T Khel council has lauded the students for the hard work and initiative. The council has further encouraged the students for more active participation in the future.
Light refreshment was provided to all the participants by the T Khel Council, it added.
