KOHIMA — Benny Prasad, renowned gospel musician and world record holder for the fastest time to visit 245 countries, advised the students to dream big, have patience and place Jesus Christ in the centre of their lives to bring about significant changes.

Prasad stated this while addressing the students at Government Middle School (GMS), Bayavü, in Kohima during the farewell programme for Class 8 students as a special guest. He urged the students to dream big and have patience and place Jesus Christ at the centre of their lives to bring about significant changes.

Prasad shared his life testimony and encouraged the children not to belittle themselves or harbour an inferiority complex. He cited instances of individuals who have achieved success in different fields despite their humble beginnings.

Quoting a phrase, “If God is on your side, nothing can stand against you,” Prasad advised the students to pray and have faith in God, who is able to provide for their daily needs and empower them to become change-makers in the future.

Highlighting his own global musical journey as a testament to God’s work, Prasad stressed the importance of committing to prayer and asking Jesus to do great things for His glory. He further urged the students to give their best in both studies and life and live for God.

The programme featured exhortations from Kikruneinuo Liezietsu, head teacher of GMS Bayavü, and Vithongunuo, assistant head teacher.

Speech on behalf of outgoing students was delivered by Iringneile, while a special prayer was said by the class teacher, Inakali, and concluded with a benediction said by Tolivi.

Students of Class 7 presented a song and Langshen, a Class 7 student, delivered a speech titled ‘Remembering our times together.
