They were encouraged to work, for no work was too small and that one should never to be ashamed to engage in any kind of gainful and honest labour. Medziphema Town Sumi Students’ Union conducted its 23rd annual general conference during December 27-28 at Medziphema Town Sumi Baptist Church. A press release from the students’ union stated that the programme was held with the theme “Inculcating progressive skills through knowledge and wisdom.” Alfred H Ayemi, chairman of the youth executive of the WSBAK, was the special guest for the occasion, the press release stated. In his speech, the updates stated, the speaker emphasized on dignity of labour and “how a job irrespective of its position should be acknowledged and appreciated.” He was said to have urged the students further “to enjoy the responsibilities and to trust their skills so that they may enjoy their own work while they earn.” Ayemi assured that no work was too small and that one should never to be ashamed in any kind of labour. “Leave your comfort zone and venture out,” the updates stated. During the event, a new team of student leaders for the union was appointed, the press release stated.
