Dimapur, March 4 (EMN): The Saptiqa Area Students’ Union (Sasu) has decided to undertake a tour to schools. The organisation informed on Monday in a press release that it held a meeting on March 2 in Kohima during which they decided to ‘begin educational tour starting from March till the academic session for the year 2019 ends.’
“This tour is being initiated to help the students propel towards progress and to encourage the teaching fraternity to impart quality education so that students are able to keep up with their counterpart from urban areas as they enter higher education,” the press release stated.
The tour will be led by four student organisations consecutively each month under the banner Of the Sasu. The students’ organisation has sought support and cooperation from ‘our learned leaders and well wishers from Saptiqa area for the welfare of the students’ community.’
The union iterated a resolution to ban ‘impersonation’ or proxy teachers at Saptiqa government high school. The union will not hesitate to report offenders to the authorities,‘ the press release added.
