Students to revive Dimapur Railway School

Dimapur, Aug. 25 (EMN): Former students’ forum of Dimapur Railway High School (DRHS) has resolved to appeal the Railway authority to revive the school and upgrade to CBSE standard for better education facility to the students of Dimapur.

The resolution to this effect was taken during a general meeting of the former students’ forum office bearers and the 65th years celebration committee members at Hotel Pink City conference hall on August 25, stated an update from the joint secretary of DRHS former students’ forum, Niranjan Saha on Sunday.

The agenda of the meeting was accounts submission and to discussion on the fate of DRHS, established in the year 1951, and presently in deteriorating condition.

The meeting was chaired by its president, PB Paul, where he thanked all the members for taking initiative to celebrate  65years of DRHS. He also encouraged the former students and well wishers to revive the school from its present position.

Bishnu Bhattacharjee, general secretary of DRHS former students’ forum, delivered a motivating speech and submitted its annual reports and accounts to the house which was anonymously passed.

The speakers of the meeting were Anjali Roy, convenor of DRHS former students’ forum core committee; Shankar Deb, Ganesh Sharma, Kartick Mazumder, Pranab Roy, Niranjan Saha, secretaries of celebration committee.
