Dimapur, Dec. 4 (EMN): All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) and the Eastern Nagaland College Students’ Union (ENCSU) informed that the Directorate of Higher Education has assured to disburse the second and final instalments of Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) ST 2019-2020 before December 11.
In a joint statement, ANCSU president Vimeyiekho Vitso and ENCSU president Serichum Sangtam informed the students community that the Directorate of Higher Education had officially communicated to the two unions on December 3. It added that the department had explained about the unavoidable delay in completing the requisite procedures for disbursing the scholarship to the student beneficiaries.
The two unions, therefore, appealed to the students community to consider the extraordinary situation and wait for disbursement of scholarship as assured. It further stated that the department would be held accountable for any unfavourable situation if it fails to comply with the given assurance.
