Students screened for hearing impairment
Dimapur, March 2 (EMN): About 57 students were screened for hearing and other general health problems during a programme organised by the national programme for prevention and control for deafness (NPPCD) at GMS Tsumang ‘A’ colony in Wokha district on March 1.
The programme was organised under the supervision of Dr. Y Renponthung Murry, district nodal officer and senior ENT specialist, and assisted by audiometrist, Surendro, along with staff from medical department.
Deputy chief medical officer, Dr. Zuben Kikon, has highlighted in details about the programme and short speech was delivered by Er. Yanpvuo Ezung, chairman of Tsumang ‘A’ colony.
The chairman has thanked all members of the medical team for the concern towards the betterment and uplift of students of GMS Tsumang. He has assured full support in building a better place for the students.
The head teacher in-charge, Chumbeni Murry, pronounced the vote of thanks on behalf of the faculty members and students.
