Students of Govt. Middle School Phesama taught to recycle waste

[caption id="attachment_263096" align="aligncenter" width="600"] NSS unit of Mount Olive College Kohima with the students of Government Middle School Phesama at the one-day programme on the theme Metamorphosing as Green Wizard on July 26.[/caption] Dimapur, July 29 (EMN): With an aim to transform wastes into useful items, the NSS unit of Mount Olive College Kohima organised a one-day programme on the theme "Metamorphosing as Green Wizard" at Government Middle School Phesama (MOCK NSS unit adopted village) on July 26. The main objective of the programme was to encourage the students to reduce, reuse and recycle materials like old magazines, newspapers, water bottles etc. by transforming them into paper bags, paper crafts, paper baskets, pen holders and boxes for planting flower saplings, informed an update from the college. Besides the seminar on recycling common household materials, the students also undertook social work and plantation drive in and around the school compound.
