All the staff and students of the two institutions have actively participated by diving under their desks for cover at the sound of the first siren alarm. At the sound of the second siren, the students, under the supervision of respective teachers, were made to form into lines and follow the exit routes towards a ‘safe space’ ie, the grounds outside the buildings. Imagining falling objects, the students were taught to protect their heads with their bags, books etc., while making their way to the predetermined evacuation area. It may also be mentioned that an inspection of the Kohima College classrooms were carried out thereafter and the cleanest class award was accordingly presented to BA 4th semester section B.
