Students demand answers for tribal job slots in School Edu

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he core committee of Dimapur Lotha Students Union (DLSU), Ao Students Union Dimapur (ASUD) and Dimapur Sumi Students Union (DSSU) expressed displeasure over the recent invitation of applications for Dimapur district where the 55 vacancies for adhoc appointment to the post of primary teachers from the directorate of School Education Department was applicable only for Angami community.“Not standing or voicing against the Angami community, we seek clarification from the Director of School Education on the 55 posts vacant only for a particular community” demanded the core committee of the three units while addressing media persons today at Café Destination Dimapur.
The core committee of the three students’ body emphasizing only on the Dimapur district stated that while Dimapur which is inhabited by all communities wish to know from the department as to why and how was the vacancy made available only for one particular community.
“Without any time condition we want a clarification from the department at the earliest and if the department fails to respond to our demand than we will stand with our own demand” reiterated the core committee of the three units.
Earlier today, the core committee of DLSU, ASUD and DSSU had a courtesy visit to the examination centres of HSLC and HSSLC. The unions while conveying wishes to the students have appealed upon the citizen to maintain peaceful environment in the town. It may be mentioned that the Department of School Education had invited applications for 689 posts for primary teachers through local dailies for eight districts dated 25th and 31st January 2015.
