Students’ bodies empowered to pursue road works

Dimapur, April 26 (EMN): Niuland Area Students’ Union (NASU) and the Ato Area Students’ Union (AASU) were empowered to pursue the matter concerning construction of road between Dimapur and Niuland falling under NPWD Dimapur division and other related development programmes with the state government.

The decision to this effect was taken during joint consultative meeting of all the frontal organisations under Niuland and Ato area on April 23 held in the residence of AASU’s banker in Nikhekhu village.

The house has also formed a co-ordination committee comprising of members from the two apex area students’ organisations to look into the grievances of the public of the two areas.

The joint co-ordination committee would consist of Yepeto Aye as convenor, H Hisaka Kibami as co-convenor, Kaka K  Holo as member secretary, along with Abeto Swu, Hekiye Awomi, and Akavi Zhimomi as members.

This was stated in a joint press release issued by NASU president, Yepeto Aye, and AASU president, H Hisaka Kibami.
