Dimapur, May 19 (EMN): A number of Zeliangrong organisations have appealed to the Zeliangrong Union (ZU) and the Zeliangrong Baudi (ZB) to reconcile.
A press release appended by presidents of Zeliangrong students’ organisations in Bangalore, Delhi, Pune, Guwahati and Chandigarh, “on behalf of Zeliangrong inter-cities presidents’ forum,” was issued to the media on Friday. The statement read: “The Zeliangrong Inter-Cities Presidents’ Forum (comprised of ZSU Bangalore, ZSU Delhi, ZSU Pune, ZSU Guwahati, ZSU Chandigarh, ZSU Shillong, Zeliangrong Welfare Committee Chennai) extends the support to the AZSU decision and urges the Zeliangrong Baudi and Zeliangrong Union to reconcile and unite as one at the earliest.”
“This is the voice of the Zeliangrong youth and students,” the groups stated, “who strive to unite and move forward as a peaceful society and put an end to all disruptive ideas.”
“No matter what good might have done, we strongly believe that the Zeliangrong would not progress as long as this divisive society exists. As stated by the AZSU on the press release publicized on May 15th and 16th, 2017; it is true that it’s creating confusion and disharmony amongst the people. Therefore, in the name of civil society, for how long will this continue?” the organisations queried.
The statement iterated the appeal to the ZB and the ZU “to put aside all disruptive ideas, thoughts and unite as one at the earliest.”
