Dimapur, June 25 (EMN): All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has vehemently condemned the act of robbery by unknown miscreants at Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu on the fateful night of June 23 resulting in damage of properties and creating fear psychosis in the minds of the students.
ANCSU, in a joint statement issued by its speaker Pithungo Shitio and the women coordinator Meyitila, lamented that several appeals to the State government to set up a police outpost in the educational institution to ensure security of the students and infrastructure were not responded positively. Mentioning it was not the first time that such kind of incidents had occurred, it urged the local residents to be vigilant on such issues.

ANCSU appealed to the law enforcing agencies to look into the matter immediately and book the culprits as per the law.

ANCSU further appealed to the State government to immediately set up a police outpost to protect the education institution from anti-social elements and enable peaceful environment to the technical students and faculty.

In a separate statement, the All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK) strongly condemned the attempted robbery at Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu by miscreants.

Taking serious note of the incident, SKK has called upon the law enforcing agency to book the culprit at the earliest and initiate exemplary action against the perpetrators.

Meanwhile, SKK has convened a meeting on June 28 at KPA conference hall at 11 am. The union general secretary, Hutoshe Kits has requested the KPA authority, administrations (Atoizu), Asukhuto Town GBs/ town council, and surrounding village GBs/ village councils to attend the meeting.
