Addressing the ongoing 30th Angami Students' Union (ASU) biennial general conference at Tuophema village, which will culminate on Sunday, the minister urged the students and youth to carry forward the good values of forefathers -- honesty, hardworking, integrity and compassion.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]Student life is short, she said while encouraging them to focus on studies. She also stressed on prioritising education, while saying that there are many students whose parents can’t afford to send them to school.
Those who cannot afford education or discontinue studies should engage in skill work, she added.
The minister also pointed out that the theme of the conference “Rational integrity” should be practiced and implemented as it is an important rule for life. She further advised the students to obey their parents and believe in the wisdom of God to excel in life.
ASU President Bisevi Nakhro, in his message, called upon the students to uphold the traditional values and wisdom passed on from generation to generation, and encouraged them to give their best to the community and the Nagas as a whole.
Convenor of Central Organising Committee, Kelhouneizo Yhome gave an overview of the ASU's biennial conference and its inception, as well as stressed on the importance of using Tenyidie language. President of the Angami Public Organisation Razouvotuo Chatsu delivered the greetings and Southern Angami Students' Union presented a folk song.
Earlier in the programme, Kruse unveiled the 30th ASU biennial conference monolith.
