Stranded Arunachali youths share positive experiences

Kohima, May 7 (EMN):
Seven youth from Arunachal Pradesh, who were stranded in Kohima following the lockdown, have expressed gratitude to their home government and Nagaland for clearance.

The youths had come to Kohima for treatment but were stranded due to the nationwide lockdown until the relaxation was offered for movement to enale them go back home.

Sharing their experiences to the media persons at Kohima local ground on Thursday, they shared that they were made to stay back because of the lockdown.

A member among them said that they’re leaving home on Friday as they had obtained clearance on Thursday. He has expressed gratitude to Kripa Foundation for treatment and hospitality during their stay.

He went on to share that on their returned at the state capital Itanagar, they would be placed under quarantine centre and assured to abide with the guidelines.

Meanwhile, director of Kripa Foundation Kohima, Abou Mere, speaking to Eastern Mirror informed that the persons from Arunachal were clients who came for treatment. He stated that some, who had come for treatment due to dependency on drugs, have completed treatment but were stranded due to the lockdown.

Mere informed that the stranded persons were screened and had completed all the formalities.

Kripa Foundation is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) catering to the needs of drug and alcoholic addicts.
