Naga students form union in Allahabad
Dimapur: Naga students in Allahabad had constituted a union on February 15. The Union is headed by Subongchiten Jamir as president, Yeshito Yeptho as vice president, Lovito V Achumi as general secretary, Amenla Jamir as assistant general secretary, Ithelo Ayeh as finance secretary, Masatula Pongen as treasurer and Zakiya Tsela as auditor general.SCERT to launch ELTI language lab
Dimapur: The language lab of the English Language Teaching Institute (ELTI), will be inaugurated on April 22 in the ELTI Cell, SCERT Complex, at 11 a.m. by the Commissioner & Secretary of School Education and SCERT, M Patton. Director of SCERT, Vipralhou Kesiezie, will give an introduction of the Language Lab while Reader, ELTI, Akala Kin, will chair the programme. Resource person of ELTI, Dr. Imlienla Imchen will give a demonstration of the Language Lab. Another highlight of the programme would be impressions of ‘Students’ experiences with the Language Lab’.
Ex-underground Khellers IVR meet
Dimapur: The Ex-underground Khellers of Industrial Village Razhiiphe has convened a meeting on April 29 at 11a.m. in the residence of TL Angami, chairman of the village, to discuss ‘serious matter with regards to the suit land case’. Sessional secretary, Theja Angami has requested all bonafide members to attend positively.
NSUK elects new team
Dimapur: The Naga Students’ Union Kolkata has elected a new team of office bearers for the tenure 2014-2015 on April 5 during a meeting at Nagaland House, Shakespeare, Sarani, Kolkata. The new team will be headed by Imkalong Jamir as president, Tongpangmeren Changkija as vice president, Ms Lizavi Chishi as general secretary, C Thsapise Anar as assistant general secretary, Ms Sentina Lumong as finance secretary, Akumnochet Ao as cultural secretary, Atokito Chisho as games and sports secretary, Ms Senwatila Pongen as assistant games and sports secretary, and Jungshimenba Imchen as information and statistical secretary.
