Open written Bible Quest 2013
Faith Theological College, Ura Villa Colony, Dimapur will conduct a written open Bible Quest exam on September 1 (Sunday) at 2 pm. The exam will be based on Joshua (OT) and Romans (NT). There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes of Rs 3000, Rs 2000 and Rs 1000 for separate groups – A (3 to 12), B (13 to 17), C (18 to 34) and D (35 and above). KTSU freshers’ day
Parliamentary secretary for Higher Education and SCERT, Deo Nukhu will grace the annual session-cum-freshers’ meet of the Kohima Tsuswuzu Students’ Union on August 10 at the State Academy hall. The union president has invited all concerned and well-wishers to attend the programme.

Seats in Degree Engineering
A few seats in Degree Engineering are available under reserved quota. Therefore, director, A Kathipri has in an official communiqué informed all JEE (main) candidates who have applied for such seats and have not been selected for any such seat to report to the Directorate of Technical Education on August 13 during office hours. However, there are no vacancies in Civil, Electrical and Electronics branches, it added.

Gorkha senior citizens get-together
The Sai Sewa Samity, Kohima will organize a Basi Biyalo (get-together) for Gorkha senior citizens of 70 plus on August 18 at GPP hall, Upper Chandmari in Kohima. Medziphema ‘alottees’ told to renew lease
The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Medziphema Gergory Thejawelie has give one month to all “allottee/allottees” to pay yearly revenue and renew their allotment orders or their land plots shall “stand automatically cancelled without further notice.” A note received here from the ADC said that many of the “allottee/allottees” of government land in Medziphema HQ had failed to renew their land allotment as per the given conditions laid down in the allotment order.

Wokha cleaning drive on Aug 13
Deputy Commissioner of Wokha Vyasan R has informed of a mass cleaning drive scheduled to be held on August 13 in view of the forthcoming Independence Day celebration in Wokha town. All the departments, institutions and public of Wokha town are requested to clean their surroundings and respective areas on August 13 from 7:00 am onwards.

Dept heads to meet on govt ads
A meeting of all administrative heads of departments, with the chief secretary of the state, will be held on August 12 in the conference hall of the chief secretary from 10 AM. The meeting is to discuss the streamlining of government advertisements, it was informed today.

IMFL confiscated in Tseminyu raids
The civil administration and police along with non-governmental organizations such as Tseminyu Union, Rengma Hoho and the area’s students’ union raided Tseminyu town areas on August 7 and seized 35 cases of whisky, rum, vodka and 28 cases of beer. The estimated worth of the catch was cited at around Rs. 2 lakhs to 94,000 in the open market. The confiscated goods were destroyed on the same day in the presence of public and the civil administration.
