Dimapur, Feb. 22 (EMN): Nagaland on Tuesday reported nine new Covid-19 cases, taking the state’s Covid tally to 35,372.
The department of Health and Family Welfare informed that six positive cases were reported from Dimapur and one each from Mokokchung, Longleng and Phek.
The active tally stands at 206 with 33 more recoveries reported in the last 24 hours. The recoveries were reported from Dimapur (20), Kohima (seven), Phek (three), Peren (two) and Mokokchung (one). The cumulative tally of recoveries stands at 32937.
The death toll remained unchanged at 749 with no fresh fatalities reported during the same period.
Out of the 206 active cases, 149 are asymptomatic, 52 mild, one moderate on oxygen and four in ICU on ventilator.
235 fresh fatalities in India
India added 13,405 new coronavirus infections on Tuesday, taking the country’s tally to 4,28,51,929, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
The death toll climbed to 5,12,344 with 235 fresh fatalities, the data stated.
The active cases declined to 1,81,075 with the recovery of 34,226 patients in the last 24 hours.
With the administration of more than 35.50 lakh (35,50,868) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 175.83 crore (1,75,83,27,441).
