State reports 4 new Covid-19 cases

Dimapur, Dec. 12 (EMN):
Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of four fresh Covid-19 positive cases on Sunday, taking the tally to 32, 155, while the active caseload stands at 102.

 The state’s cumulative recoveries have increased to 30,287, with three more patients having recuperated in the last 24 hours. The death toll remained unchanged at 683 with no Covid-19 death reported on Sunday.

According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, three cases were reported in Kohima, while one was detected in Mokokchung.

Meanwhile, two recoveries were reported from Dimapur and one from Mokokchung.

Out of 102 active cases in the state, 82 are asymptomatic, 17 mild, one severe on oxygen and two in ICU on ventilator.

India reports 7774 new cases

India on Sunday reported 7,774 fresh Covid-19 cases taking the country’s active caseload to 92,281, according to data from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

 The total death toll has climbed to 4,75,434 with 306 deaths in the same time span.

The recovery of 8,464 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recoveries to 3,41,22,795.

Meanwhile, with the administration of 89,56,784 vaccine doses, India’s Covid inoculation coverage has reached 132.93 crore.
