State reports 3 new Covid cases

Dimapur, Dec. 29 (EMN):
Nagaland reported three new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the state’s Covid tally to 32188.

The death tolls stands at 686 with no Covid deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the active cases declined to 70 cases with eight more recoveries –six from Dimapur and two from Kohima.

Out of the 70 cases, Dimapur has the highest number of cases with 60, followed by Kohima with nine cases, and Mokokchung one.

Kiphire, Longleng, Mon, Peren, Phek, Tuensang, Wokha and Zunheboto are currently Covid-free.

India reports 9,195 new cases

With 9,195 people testing positive for coronavirus infection on Wednesday, India’s total tally of Covid-19 cases rose to 3,48,08,886, while the active cases increased to 77,002 , according to the data from the Union Health Ministry.

The death toll climbed to 4,80,592 with 302 fresh fatalities.

The recovery of 7,347 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,42,51,292.

With the administration of 64,61,321 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 143.15 crore (1,43,15,35,641).
