Nagaland reports 16 new COVID-19 cases

Dimapur, July 25 (EMN): The number of COVID-19 active cases in Nagaland increased to 101 with 16 fresh infections detected on Monday. The death toll remained unchanged at 762 with no fresh fatality during the same period.

According to the update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, six fresh cases were reported in Dimapur, four each in Kohima and Wokha, and one each in Mokokchung and Mon in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of cases in the state to 35,709.

The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 33,335 with the recovery of seven more patients in the last 24 hours, which includes five in Kohima and one each in Longleng and Wokha.

Out of the 101 active cases, 52 are asymptomatic, 44 mild, four moderate on oxygen and one in ICU on ventilator.

In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, Kohima has 42 cases,34 in Dimapur, eight in Mokokchung, six in Wokha, five in Phek, three in Longleng, two in Mon and one in Peren, while the remaining districts are currently COVID-free.
