State records 13 new Covid-19 cases, 3 deaths

Dimapur, Oct. 28 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of 13 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday, taking the tally to 31,772 and active caseload to 210.

The state’s cumulative recoveries rose to 29,844 following recuperation of 22 more patients in the last 24 hours, while the death toll increased at 669 with three fatalities.

According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, five positive cases were reported in Dimapur, four in Kohima, three in Mokokchung and one in Phek.

Of the 22 new recoveries, nine were reported in Dimapur, seven in Kohima, five in Longleng and one in Mokokchung.

Nagaland currently has 210 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 161 are asymptomatic, 38 mild, two moderate on oxygen, six severe on oxygen and three in ICU on ventilator.

In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur has the highest number with 119, followed by Kohima with 40, 17 in Mokokchung, 13 in Wokha, eight in Tuensang, five in Phek, four in Mon, two in Peren and one each in Longleng and Zunheboto, while Kiphire is currently Covid-free.
