State-level marketing exhibition underway in Dimapur

Dimapur, March 15 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan, has advised local entrepreneurs to take the opportunity of online platforms to exhibit their products globally on a daily basis.

He said this during the inauguration of state-level marketing exhibition organised by the office of Khadi and Village Industries Commission at Supermarket, Dimapur, on Tuesday. The DC stated that online marketing is a good platform to showcase their talents and also sell the products across the globe.

While maintaining that state exhibitions are also equally important, he remarked that “if we showcase only during certain times of the year, then it becomes a limited opportunity.” In this regard, he called upon the artisans not to only wait for exhibitions but take the opportunity of online business.

As the ethos of any community is reflected in the culture, he stated that “handicrafts and local products are the reflection of our society.”

According to Athuba Lusang, director of the state KVIC office, the objective of the exhibition was to encourage artisans and entrepreneurs through various schemes of KVIC. Besides, it was aimed at providing them a platform to promote and sell their products to enable them to become self-reliant.

The exhibition would culminate on March 29.
