State employees reject govt’s 7th ROP decision

Dimapur, March 14 (EMN): The All State Services Associations of Nagaland has rejected the state government’s decision to implement the provisions of 7th ROP with effect from March 1.

The government’s decision, according to a press release from the associations, was against ‘the genuine demand made by the State Services Associations represented several times since 2014.’ this decision was taken during a coordination meeting “in connection with the memorandum No.CAB-2/2013 Dated 11th March 2017 relating to cabinet decision on 7th central pay commission”, on Tuesday at Kohima.

“The State Services Associations decided to reject the decision of the state cabinet to implement the 7th ROP w.e.f. 1st March 2018 which is against the genuine demand made by the State Services Associations represented several times since 2014.

“Therefore, the State Services Associations decided that unless the state government fulfils the demand within 18th March 2017 for implementation of the 7th ROP wef 1st March 2017 the Associations will be compelled to go for pen/tool-down strike in the entire state with the exception to hospitals, educational institutions and emergency duties from 20th March 2017”, it stated.
