DIMAPUR — In connection with the special summary revision of the electoral roll for municipal and town councils in the state, the State Election Commission of Nagaland conducted a one-day training session for electoral registration officers (EROs) and assistant electoral registration officers (AEROs) on Monday at the DPDB Hall, DC office, Kohima.
According to a DIPR report, at the training, Nagaland’s state election commissioner, T John Longkumer, expressed his delight at the opportunity to work with the officers who will be the state government’s future leaders.
He stated that a special summary revision is imperative, as it has been long overdue due to the non-conduct of ULB elections. The commissioner also encouraged the officers to participate in the ULB elections and urged them to cooperate for the successful completion of the special summary revision as well as for the smooth conduct of the ULB elections.
Toshimeren Aier, deputy chief electoral officer, CEO’s Office, Kohima, was the training’s resource person, and Tsutsowe Kupa, undersecretary, State Election Commission, Nagaland, chaired the programme.
