State detects 12 new Covid-19 cases, 15 recoveries

Dimapur, Oct. 27 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 12 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the tally to 31,759, while active caseload declined to 222 following recuperation of 15 patients.

The total number recoveries have increased to 29,822 while the death toll remained unchanged at 666 with no fresh fatalities registered for two consecutive days.

The department of Health and Family Welfare updated that eight Covid cases were detected in Dimapur, two in Phek and one each in Kohima and Mokokchung in the last 24 hours, while 10 recoveries were recorded in Dimapur, two each in Kohima and Longleng, and one in Phek.

The state currently has 222 active cases, out of which 173 are asymptomatic, 39 mild, one moderate on oxygen, seven severe on oxygen, and two in ICU (on ventilator).

Dimapur leads in the number of active cases at 123, followed by Kohima at 43, Mokokchung- 17, Wokha- 13, Tuensang- 8, Longleng- 6, four each in Mon and Phek, and two each in Peren and Zunheboto, while Kiphire is Covid-free.
