Dimapur, May 3 (EMN): The Nagaland unit of BJP has hit out at what it stated was the ‘intolerance statement’ of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) towards BJP.
In the statement issued today, the state BJP said that the rival Congress’s statement was mere exhibition of the latter’s ‘real frustration’. “The world and the nation know that the Congress is diminishing by the people mandate in all election fronts. The Congress party is restless because of the rapid growth of BJP party in Nagaland and all over the country and the congressman are deserting the party knowing that it is sinking and shall drown ultimately.
“The BJP believe in providing good governance and free from corruption and not like the Congress which have ruled the nation for many years with confusion and corruption at all levels. The Congress family dynasty politics is fading away from the people confidence,” it stated.
It urged the people of Nagaland ‘not to be swayed by the rumours or cheap political propaganda but to have confidence in the Indian constitution as it provides protection and guarantee to freedom of religion or faith to every citizen.’ The BJP, it stated, has emerged as the largest secular political party in the world and want the state of Nagaland to witness the pragmatic approach for all round development in the near future.
“The BJP being a dynamic political party is determined to make India Congress free and so if the NPCC has sense then it is better for them to join the secular party for all round development. The BJP is a secular political party for good governance and registered under the Election Commission of India whereas RSS is a social and cultural organisation.
“The former Prime Minister, AB Vajpayee one of the tallest leaders in the world was also born on 25th December and the government of India declared Good Governance Day on his birthday which coincides with Christmas. However, Nagaland BJP and the state government observe Good Governance day either before or after 25th December.
“Government of India also declared Dr BR Ambedkar, the father of the Indian Constitution and a great social reformer’s birthday on 14th April as Digital Day. The date of Good Friday keeps changing and this year it happened to coincide with the International Yoga Day on the 21st June which is declared by the United Nation”, the statement read.
