Dimapur, December 29
While strongly condemning the inhuman action of some armed NSCN (IM) cadres on the night of December 21 on the passengers of the Zunheboto-bound Tata Sumo, the State unit of BJP unit has appealed to the concerned higher authority of the organization and law enforcing agencies to award befitting punishment to the ‘wayward culprits’ as per the law of land.
Stating that no one is above the law not even the law makers, the party appealed to the leaders of the Sumi community to restrain their people in order to bring an amicable settlement so that peace and normalcy can be restored for the people of Zunheboto.
Meanwhile, the State BJP also condemned the action of the suspected KPLT activists on the Rengma people residing in Karbi Anglong district of Assam. Expressing solidarity with them, the party appealed to the authorities concerned to protect the rights of the minority people and called for peaceful co-existence of the Karbi people and Rengma Nagas of Assam. This was stated in a release issued by general secretary and spokesman, BJP Nagaland, K James Vizo
