Dimapur, June 3 (EMN): Bharatiya Janata Mahila Morcha (BJMM) national secretary and In-charge of Nagaland, Yogita Singh, called upon the mahila to work hard in order to install BJP government in the State in the forthcoming general elections.
Addressing the State BJMM executive members and district presidents at the 5th BJMM executive meeting on June 3 at Dimapur Yogita Singh has sought 5 years for BJP so that the people might see real development as evident from all BJP ruled states. With a BJP government in the state, she assured that no women or daughters have to worry as they don’t have to travel to Delhi or outside the state for employment, medical treatment, education and other modern amenities and services as all these would be made available in the state itself.
She also highlighted on the welfare schemes for women and children being implemented by Modi government and cajoled the BJMM workers to help the women of the state avail them. In this regard, she asked the party workers to be Digital India savvy and down load the Modi App to get the details of various schemes waiting to be benefitted.
Yogita Singh also expressed joy in seeing women party workers in this part of the country but regretted on the poor infrastructure visible everywhere.
Early in the morning, she visited the Holy Cross Church along with the State BJMM officials and held interaction with the nuns where they prayed for her.
State BJMM president Sanuo Ngullie, in her presidential speech, said BJP government is pro-poor and understands that poverty in the country is mainly due to corruption. She has sought all out efforts to uplift the poorest of the poor by rooting out corruption.
Naga society being plagued with acute problems of corruption, poverty, unemployment, anti-social activities etc., she said women cannot continue to remain silent like in the medieval times but should come forward and take the opportunity to be a part of social change. She added that women should work hand in hand with the men folk to empower and better the welfare of women and children and the society at large.
Stating that BJMM workers have responsibility to play a positive role in fighting against social injustices and eradicate social problems, she said BJP women should also work hard towards transforming Nagaland by installing its party government in the state.
Yogita Singh also held meeting with the Dimapur –I Mandal BJMM, in which the State president Visasolie Lhoungu spoke on the concern of the Prime Minister for the Nagas.
Describing BJP as a secular party and striving for an equitable society, he said the government has been putting a lot of emphasis on the poor sections of the society with various pro-poor schemes, welfare schemes for women, children, tribals, youth, employment, etc. He said the people should reach out and receive the development offers and opportunities and not accuse the party on religious grounds.
The State president exuded confidence that BJP will come to power in the State in 2018 elections. He, therefore, urged the BJMM workers to work hard to realise that goal and also check corruption to bring about all round development in the State.
Ananta Mishra, BJP organising secretary, highlighted on the organisational programmes and schedules of the party and encouraged BJMM workers to work hard and ensure the electoral victory of atleast 4 to 5 women MLAs in the State’s 2018 elections. He advised the BJMM officials to be focused on their responsibilities, assignments and goal to bring the party to power in the State. Asangla Ao, BJMM general secretary, presented the activities report for the period ending May 2017 followed by the reports from all the BJMM district presidents.
Vikheli Sema, State executive member, encouraged BJMM to work hard in order to install the party government in the State. She urged BJMM party workers not to be deterred or give undue attention to criticisms, rumours, problem creators, detractors etc, but work boldly along with the State president and national leaders in accomplishing the party programmes.
