Dimapur, April 10 (EMN): Following the resignation of 37 BJP members including four state executive members, state BJP acknowledged them for their services in strengthening the party when there were only few party members. It went to added that they have played a pivotal role in bringing up the party to the level it has reached today.

However, the party expressed shocked by their public statement in taking a U-turn and making outrageous statement in condemning the party. While pointing out that many of them have been instrumental in taking forward the Naga peace talk by playing proactive role, the party statement issued by its chief spokesperson, Kuputo Shohe said the allegation of delaying the Naga issue cannot be their excuse.

The party was also shocked that they have raised the issue of CAB and Hindutva policy as excuse to resign. In so far as the CAB issue was concerned, it stated that the resigned members were aware that the state unit would go by the voice of the people adding there was no confusion.

The party also stated that raising the Hindutva issue has no relevance whatsoever because the party policies said nothing about Hindutva and added that the same was fully in the knowledge of the resigned member. It has termed as ‘lame excuse’ to mislead the public.

It further added that raising several non-issue allegations to make their resignation flowery and appealing to the public was misleading. The party wishes them the best in their future endeavours.
