Stage set for counting of votes for 14-Southern Angami-I A/C on Nov. 10

Dimapur, Nov. 6 (EMN): The deputy commissioner (DC) of Kohima, Mohammed Ali Shihab A, has informed that votes for the recently completed 14-Southern Angami-I assembly constituency bye-election will be counted on November 10, at 8 am in the conference hall of the DC’s office.   

The DC has informed all candidates to appoint counting agents, one for each counting table and one for the returning officer’s table.

No vehicles will be allowed within the 100-metre periphery of the counting centre, which will be demarcated as ‘pedestrian zone’.

People who be allowed inside the counting hall are: counting supervisors and counting assistants, micro-observers; persons authorised by the ECI (possessing authority letter duly issued by ECI) and observers; public servants on duty in connection with the election; and candidates, their election agents and counting agents.

No personal belongings like cellular phones, camera — still or video (except official recording by appointed person) — will be allowed inside the counting hall. If any such items are brought, the same should be deposited at the counter that will be opened for the purpose, informed the notice.
