St. Thomas Church, Tuensang, celebrated Grandparents' Day with a special Eucharistic service, cultural programme, and blessings honouring grandparents and the elderly.

DIMAPUR — Grandparents’ Day was celebrated at St. Thomas Church, Tuensang, on Sunday, with a large congregation attending the special service to honour and pray for grandparents.
According to an update, the programme was officiated by Rev. Fr. C Joseph, Counsellor of St. Joseph's College (Autonomous), Jakhama.
The celebration began with the Holy Eucharistic service, which included scripture readings. In his homily, Fr. Joseph described grandparents as "our first storytellers, best friends and our most patient listeners," highlighting their invaluable role in families and society.
The Catholic Youth Association (CYA), Tuensang, organised the event and presented gifts and refreshments to grandparents and elderly participants.
The felicitation programme was chaired by Asang Sheba, president of the Catholic Women's Association (CWA), Tuensang.
The programme also featured special songs, skits and speeches, providing entertainment for the gathering. The celebration concluded with a special blessing for the long life and well-being of all grandparents.
