St. Paul’s Wokha observes Bible Sunday

Congregation of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Wokha, is seen on the occasion of Bible Sunday programme on August 25.

Dimapur, Aug. 27 (EMN): St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Wokha, observed a Bible Sunday on August 25 at the Parish Church along with Eucharistic celebration led by Rev. Fr. AD Jose.
Commenting on the importance of the Bible, Rev. Fr. AD Jose, in his homily, urged the congregation to accept the word of God and practise them in their daily lives. He expressed regret over abusive use of mobile phones for long hours and failing to read the word of God. He further encouraged the congregation to develop interest in reading the Bible everyday.

The second session was chaired by assistant catechist, Chopathung Kikon, followed by a note of introductory from catechist, Limhathung Patton, stated Yanrenthung J Humtsoe, member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Wokha, in an update.

A note on the importance of the Bible was delivered by J Wolumi Humtsoe followed by a hymn from the hostellers.
The event was marked by Bible skit competition wherein Airfield, High School and NST were declared winners in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. The programme also witnessed a song from Nlibemo and Sorenbeni Kikon.
