St. Joseph’s Jakhama college week culminates

Dimapur, Nov. 17 (EMN): The weeklong celebration of the St. Joseph’s College culminated on Friday at Indoor Stadium with an intercessory by Rev. Fr. Vemedo Joseph. Rev. Fr. Benny Varghese in his speech congratulated the winners and all the participants. He also thanked individuals and committees for the support in making the celebration a grand success. He concluded by giving seven tips and steps to success and excellence in life. The college week got started on Nov. 13 with Vilelie Khamo, first class contractor & philanthropist as chief guest, who on the occasion shared his life’s journey and encouraged the students to be respectful, the old yet golden virtue. He called upon the student’s community to be hard working for the life ahead is not easy. He exhorted them to not waste their parent’s money as they are hard earned but to be successful in their studies. Eight teams divided among the Josephites participated in various sports, athletics and cultural events of the week. The overall championship was bagged by the team Boyka, team Lee in the second, Kungfu Panda in the third place, Baratheon, Super Saiyans, Bahubali, Hercules and Sirus Returns in the descending order. Neha Chetri and Thozüsie Nyuwi were declared as Mr. and Miss Josephite 2017. Ngamshon Konyak and Zavito Ltu were adjudged as 1st runners-up while Lothungbeni T Lotha and Azeto Achumi as second 2nd runners-up.
