St. Joseph Global School conducts spell-bee competition
Dimapur, Oct. 24 (EMN): With a view to developing the language skills of the students, DMI St. Joseph Global School conducted a spell bee competition for students from Classes I-V on October 24.
The department of English of the school organised the competition in two rounds. The first round was on written and second on oral. Soon after the competitions, winners were announced who would be honoured on the annual day celebration of the school.
The school principal T Backiyaraj was of the opinion that students should cultivate the habit of reading newspapers, magazines, novels, etc., in order to spell the words correctly as the spelling will get imprinted on the minds of the children through repeated reading practices.
Administrator of the school Sr. Stella congratulated the winners of the competition.
