St. Joseph College, Orion FC and HQ IGAR win

It was raining goals as St. Joseph College Jakhama, Orion Football Club and Headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (HQ IGAR) registered win in today’s three matches of the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy played on a soggy Kohima Local Ground.In the first match, St. Joseph Jakhama defeated Eureka FC by 2-0. Changku scored the first goals in the 26th minute while Mhasi doubled it to win the match in the 58th minute.  The second match of the day was a one-sided match, wherein Orion FC thrashed Marvels United FC by 7-1. Chisie Nyusou turned to be the scoring maniac as he alone contributed five out of the seven goals scored by his team. He commenced scoring within the 3rd minute followed by second in the 10th and hat-trick in the 13th minute. He was interrupted by Marvels United FC in the 17th minute as they managed to score a goal through Temsulong. However, Nyusou added the fourth second before the lemon break.
Buoyed with the first half four goals, he went on to strike the fifth in the 56th minute after which it was Issac Kemp scoring his first and sixth for the team in the 61st minute and Worhusie Nyuwi sealed the score board with the seventh in the dying moments of the match.
The third match between HQ IGAR and Thipuzu SU also turned to be completely one-sided with the jawans humiliating students by another huge margin of 7 goals to nil.
Demo opened the flood gate for HQ IGAR in the 8th minute which was doubled by Rosanghliana in the 16th minute. Demo managed his second and third for the team in the 26th minute to end the first half with 3-0.
In the second half, E. Zofa scored the fourth lead in the 42nd minute while Rosanghliana added his second and fifth for the team in the 50th minute. VL Hmangaihkima closed the day by scoring two goals (sixth and seventh) in the 55th and 60th minute of play.

The match is organized to generate revenue for the Lt.Kekuojalie and Lt.Vikhozo Memorial Trust fund which would enable the yearly event to sustain itself.
