Dimapur, Aug. 11 (EMN): With the objective to make teachers more responsible towards the students, St. John College, Dimapur, organised a one-day orientation workshop for teachers on ‘Effective teaching learning process.’
The workshop was inaugurated by the college principal Prof. ST Janetius. He insisted on giving quality education, discipline and skills development orientation to the students.
The training workshop was conducted by Don Bosco Institute for Development and Leadership (DBIDL). The whole workshop was done in three sessions.
In the first session, Dr. Varghese stressed focus on the need for creativity and formation of attitude in the teaching-learning process in the classroom management, while Victor Pameih, DBIDL programme coordinator, spoke on traditional and modern classroom presenting concrete examples from daily situations in the college.
The third session was conducted by Dr. Peter Salew, who elaborated the role of effective teachers. The programme gave new insights to all the teachers in their commitment to education and students.
