St. John College in Dimapur felicitates its undergraduate rank holders in Nagaland University examinations.
DIMAPUR — St. John College, Dimapur, felicitated its undergraduate toppers in the recently declared results of Nagaland University by organising a felicitation programme on August 17.
According to a press release, seven students made it to the top ten list in their respective subjects.
Nonya Konyak and Sashimenla secured ranks 1 and 5 in Economics, Ashlesha Sen secured rank 1 in Chemistry, Khongpe B secured rank 1 in Physics, Honom JN Yanlem secured rank 6 in Political Science, and Anoli K Awomi and Moasungla secured ranks 8 and 9 in Zoology.
The three rank 1 holders were acknowledged by awarding a cash prize of INR 10,000 each, which were handed over by Peter Banks, Administrative Head of the college. He expressed gratitude to God for the toppers from the college every year and congratulated this year’s toppers for their consistency and dedication, thereby challenging and setting precedents for their juniors.
The college stated that this performance is in line with its historic trends of producing rank 1 students every year for the past 10 years or more.

Furthermore, it was mentioned that on June 20, the college was recognised with an institutional excellence award by the University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) for undergraduate science, in recognition of its outstanding performance in the Nagaland University examinations, at an event held at the town hall in Dimapur.
The felicitation programme was chaired by Keshenle Seb, Head of the Department of Political Science. Marshitet, Head of the Department of Economics, and Aojungla Jamir, Head of the Department of Mathematics, delivered speeches on behalf of the faculty.
Additionally, the three rank 1 holders shared their journey and experiences and what it took to clinch the top position at the university level. The programme concluded with a thanksgiving prayer by Mentilong Jamir, counsellor of the college.
