St. Dominic Savio Parish to host 32nd ACYA convention

Youth members from St. Dominic Savio Parish, Chiephobozou who are engaged in preparations for the forthcoming ACYA convention in Kohima.

Chiephobozou, April 6 (EMN):
The Angami Catholic Youth Association (ACYA) will hold its 32nd convention from April 9 to the 11th at NAPO multipurpose hall at Chiephobozou in Kohima.

The much awaited convention will feature speakers like Rev. Dr. James Thoppil, the bishop of Kohima; Rev. Fr. John S Kavas, parish priest of St. Dominic Savio Parish, Chiephobozou; Rev. Fr. Dr. Keduolhou George Dzeyie, principal of St. Joseph's College (Autonomous) Jakhama; Vikepelhu Lucas Meyase, former director of School Education, Professor Rosemary Dzüvichü, advisor Naga Mother's Association; and Sister Khrievinuo Christina Ziephrü from Missionary Sisters of Mary Help of Christians.

Limited delegates from the Northern Angami Catholic Youth Association, Southern Angami Catholic Youth Association, Western Angami Catholic Youth Association, Chakhro Angami Catholic Youth Association and Kohima Town Angami Catholic Youth Association will be attending the  three-day event.

Zeneikho-o Benedict, president of ACYA and Medoneisa Marcus, convenor of organising committee, informed that ACYA convention is held triennially for the Catholic youths from the five regions to come together for more understanding and deepening of their faith in Christ.

Extending good wishes, they have asked all concerned to uphold them in prayers for the successful conduct of the convention and hoped that those attending the convention would come and be blessed.The convention which is being hosted by St. Dominic Savio Parish, Chiephobozou will also be streamlined on Angami Catholic Youth Associated Youtube channel and Facebook page.

ACYA executive informed that all existing Covid-19 protocols would be observed during the convention.
